Leticia is a lawyer born in Mexico. Her great passion for immigration law came from her personal experience navigating the legal system at a young age. She arrived in the United States at the age of four and became an American citizen at twenty-two. From the moment she began the process to obtain her permanent residency, she knew that her professional goal would be to help others who, like her, face the difficult task of going through the complex field of immigration law.
Attorney Lety decided to study law while interning with JusticeCorps at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse as a student at UCLA. During her internship, Leticia realized that the Latino community was not well represented in the legal field, and she was inspired to change that.
Leticia has continued to work effectively with underprivileged Latino communities since her first year in law school. After passing the Bar and becoming a licensed attorney, Leticia’s goal has always been to make the legal process easier for immigrants like herself.
