Robert J. Moylan, Esq. is an immigration attorney with extensive experience who has made more than 1,000 appearances before Immigration Courts across the country. Originally from the East Coast, Robert grew up in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, where he graduated from DeMatha Catholic High School in 2003. After finishing high school, Robert attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in International Studies in 2007.

After receiving his undergraduate degree, Robert moved to New York City, where he worked for several years as a paralegal at one of the most prestigious law firms in the country. While working full-time as a paralegal, Robert also attended law school in the evenings as a part-time student. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School in 2014, where he was named to the Dean’s List for academic excellence and received the D. George Levine Memorial Award for outstanding achievement in the field of real estate.

After graduating from law school, Robert worked at a large law firm in Long Island, New York, where his main responsibilities included defending noncitizens in deportation proceedings before the EOIR, as well as representing immigrants applying for immigration benefits through USCIS.

Robert is a strong advocate for the due process rights of noncitizens and, above all, for their right to pursue the American dream. He has dedicated his entire legal career to immigration law, an area where his passion and talent come together. Robert is very excited to be part of La Liga Defensora, where he hopes his experience and knowledge will have a positive impact on immigrant communities in Los Angeles and beyond.
